I'm Sara! I am a total real estate nerd. Whenever I enter a home, I pay attention to details that others may not. I notice that the house is facing southwest, which means a lot of sun for you and your plants, but a costly electric bill for AC. I hear the hum of the 405 as I walk up the driveway, because it's only half a mile away. I notice the balcony is totally private, but your bedroom window looks right into the neighbor's kitchen. I ask about the water heater, because a tankless one means you won't ever run out of hot water! I check to see if the lights have dimmers (did you know dimming the lights an hour before bed helps you sleep?) and whether the electrical panel is wired for solar and/or EV charging.
I think about these things so you do too as you make crucial decisions on what you want in your next home. Or, if you are selling, I will point out the awesome features that could have gone unnoticed by potential buyers. There is much to remember, but if you trust Honey Homes to guide you through the process, I'll remember it all for you! And I make sure to let you know what would be an easy upgrade versus a costly repair, because my partner Clayton is always available for construction & renovation insight. My name is Clayton DeCillo. I’ve been working construction since I left school in 2011. I started my own home renovation business, DeCillo Co (originally Clayton DeCillo Construction) ten years ago. Since then I have served dozens of clients around Orange County and beyond. I take great pride in my work. Sara calls me a construction encyclopedia.
I have experience in nearly every aspect of residential remodeling. From kitchens to bathrooms to whole home remodels, DeCillo Co leaves our clients happy. I personally oversee every element of the project to make sure no detail goes overlooked. I do have aspirations to grow my business further, but never to a point where quality is sacrificed. Exceptional, individualized client service is more important to me than doing as many projects as I can.
The hands-on knowledge I’ve gained from years of remodeling now gives our clients an edge — helping them see homes not just for what they are, but for what they could be. Sara and I founded Honey Homes to bring my construction expertise to the home buying/selling process, which better helps our clients. San Clemente Closet to Bath Transformation
The DeCillo Company is currently converting a former closet into a luxury primary bathroom at a traditional San Clemente home. After completing demo, framing, and plumbing for the new space, our team has started tile installation. Using a curbless Schluter waterproofing system, we’re laying beautiful, large format tile across the shower walls, shower floor, and main bath floor. Once tile is complete, we’ll move on to finish carpentry, paint, and fixtures—bringing this custom bathroom vision to life.
